Lofty Pines, originally a private estate, is now a housekeeping resort in beautiful St. Germain, Wisconsin. The resort has been family operated since 1957, and features an emphasis on cleanliness, warmth and personal service. Nestled among virgin pine in the northwest corner of beautiful Big St. Germain Lake, the grounds at Lofty Pines feature level, landscaped lawns and picturesque Plum Creek.

In winter, snowmobile right from your door on some of the finest trails in the country, the Bo-Boen Snowmobile Trails. Lofty Pines is located right on the trails, yet off high-traffic areas. We also have a heated shop for snowmobiles.	The Bavarian (left) and Norway cabins
Lofty Pines is also conveniently located within a short drive of many top rated cross country ski trails, including Minocqua Winter Park, Razorback Ridge and Eagle River Nordic, and just an hour from downhill skiing in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

The Main Lodge at Lofty Pines

Big St. Germain Lake will provide you with the finest walleye and musky fishing in the north, with 1617 acres of water. Adjoining is Lake Content and Fawn Lake. Two streams flow into Big St. Germain, Plum Creek and Lost Creek. Plum Creek is a state stocked trout stream, and Lost Creek provides 5 miles of scenic winding shoreline, ideal for the canoeist.

Big St. Germain is also known for its sandy shoreline, and the resort has a sandy beach for your swimming and sunbathing pleasure.
