Spring
Walleye fishing at its best. Enjoy the area's many hiking trails, or the paved bicycle path. Don't forget about Spring Turkey season if you enjoy hunting.

Summer
Summer is the time to spend with the family on the waters of beautiful Big St. Germain Lake.

Fall
Colorama, Cranberry Fest and more. Fall is the optimum time to catch a trophy Musky. There are also hunting seasons for bear, deer, duck, turkey and grouse.

Winter
Winter activities include snowmobiling on some of the best maintained trails in the state, right from your door. Heated shop for repairs. Ice-fish for your favorite species. Groomed cross-country ski trails are only 5 miles away.
Lofty Pines was originally a private estate. It is now a housekeeping resort, family operated since 1957, with emphasis on cleanliness, warmth and personal service.

Lofty Pines is nestled among virgin pine in the northwest corner of beautiful Big St. Germain Lake. Our exquisite location features level, landscaped lawns. Picturesque Plum Creek flows through the resort.

Big St. Germain Lake will provide you with the finest Walleye and Musky fishing in the north. Adjoining is Lake Content and Fawn Lake. Three streams flow into Big St. Germain. Plum Creek is a state stocked Trout stream. Lost Creek provides five miles of scenic winding shoreline, ideal for canoeists. Mud Creek originates from Hermanson Springs March, a deer and grouse hunters treasure. Big St. Germain is known for its beautiful sandy shoreline. The resort has a 100 foot beach for your swimming and sunbathing pleasure, backed by a large lawn for your outdoor enjoyment.

All rentals have their own outdoor grill, picnic table and lawn furniture. Water recreation includes boat, motor, canoe and sailboat rentals. Dock your boat on the resort's dock with no rental fee. Water-skiing is also available. We also have a playground for the kids. A 28 mile paved bicycle path is a half mile from the resort. Bicyclists can ride a forested path from the resort, or the town road, to the paved bicycle path. The St. Germain 18 hole golf course is only two miles from the resort.
